My lovely Mum with her beautiful smile that everyone commented on was so very brave. I will be forever proud of her. I cared for her for 6 years. Before she lost capacity, she said that she wanted to help other people living with Lewy Body Dementia, and so we did. We appeared in numerous articles for The Alzheimer’s Society magazine and handbooks, Woman’s Own and Take a Break to raise awareness. 2 years ago, I set up The Peterborough and Cambridgeshire Dementia Panel to help health care, social care and people with lived experience improve dementia services. Mum will be forever loved and missed but I will carry this work as her legacy. Rest in Peace now Mum. Love you xxx
