In Memoriam of Joan Dancocks

05/08/2021

In Memory of my dear Mum who is now finally at rest . She bore this devastating disease with such courage . For the last 2-3 years of her life she was completely bed bound and lay in exactly the same position in her bed in the room of her Care Home. Sadly, I was unable to visit her for the first 13 months following ‘lock down’ and then for only 30 minutes per week until the last 5 days of her life. I was then ‘allowed’ to sit next to her and remained by her side for the last 30 hours of her life. I have watched my Mum slowly deteriorate over the last 7 1/2 years. Her early years were surprisingly fairly happy as she lived in a very colourful imaginary world and chatted to her imaginary friends. I was shut out of the last 18 months. Goodbye Mum RIP xxxxxx
