My husband Gary was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia in early 2017 after symptoms developed mid 2016, although probably started earlier. We were lucky as we had a good consultant at our Memory Clinic and diagnosis was confirmed approx 8 months after we started initial tests. He fought courageously and never ever moaned about what the disease was doing to him, he just got on with it. Slowly it took him away from me and our 3 sons and completely changed our lives. He was much loved, not just be me and our sons but by his family in Wales and his many friends who helped us along the way. RIP Gary, you will never be forgotten.
