Dementia Research – East Anglia

demreaserachAllison Bentley is a Dementia Research Nurse working in Cambridge, who has developed a special interest in the physical (autonomic) symptoms associated with Lewy body disease. Lewy body disease can sometimes affect a person’s autonomic (involuntary) nervous system, which leads to changes in bladder and bowel function and temperature control. It can also lead to dizziness, falls and fainting. Allison is currently undertaking research in this area and is seeking people living with Lewy body disease, and their family members, to interview about their experiences of living with these physical symptoms. If anyone would be interested in taking part in a ‘one-off’ interview in their homes, and live within the East Anglia region please find the details attached. This study is funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC) East of England.dlb-pis-autonomic-symptoms-v3-0-23-08-16
