A huge thank you and well done to Di Baker who took part in a sponsored wing-walk and has raised over £7,000 for the Lewy Body Society.
Daredevil Di, 77, from Oxfordshire, has a paralysed arm due to childhood polio. Undaunted, she was strapped to a 1940s biplane, travelling at speeds of up to 140mph and reaching a height of 800 feet – that’s more than twice the height of Big Ben!
This incredible feat saw Di interviewed on BBC South Today and featured in her local papers, helping to raise awareness of the disease. Di supports us because her beloved husband, Tony Baker, died in 2020 from Lewy body dementia.
