Thank you to Kate Riddick who together with her parents has completed a sponsored walk to raise funds for The Lewy Body Society, Kate’s Grannie has DLB.

The following was written by Kate:-
“We set off early up the Northumberland Coast to just north of Beadnell.  It was a lovely sunny, warm but quite windy day.  Our first stop was at Embleton Golf Course where we had bacon sandwiches and then on to Dunstanburgh Castle which was exactly half way on our big walk!! Then we walked at a steady pace playing word games to keep ourselves occupied and had our picnic lunch on the rocks near Cullernose Point.  By this time, we were getting quite tired but I was determined to carry on as I was doing this for my Grannie.  At last we could see the car in Alnmouth and I had achieved my goal of just over 15 miles.  I really felt proud of myself and wanted to tell my Grannie what I had done.  We arrived quite late at her care home and she was so pleased I had completed my walk.”
